Breda McCague was 17 when she became one of the first girls in history to join the Irish Reserve Infantry Defence Forces.

She then progressed to become her unit’s first Female Lieutenant and served her troops for 20 years on the Military Border in Ireland.

By the age of 23, Breda was coaching, mentoring and leading up to 100 men and women on Tactical Terrain exercises, Weaponry and Explosives and on Leadership.  Her extensive in-depth learning and experience with Leadership methodologies are now something she has become recognised and been awarded Global recognition for in respect of her work in Private Companies and Public Sector Teams.

Having also worked in the Global Finance Transformation Industry for 2 decades, evolving from her bank career up at position of CEO-2 in one of Irelands Pillar Bank Brands, Breda’s experience & talent in designing, driving, and successfully managing complicated Global IT, Payment & Cultural Transformation Projects now lends itself to the inspirational innovative Leadership thinking and Motivational drive that Breda shares with her clients.

Head Hunted in 2022, Breda went on to travel the world in as a Director in Leadership Excellence for an International Financial Consultancy. She delivered talks and Bespoke Leadership Programmes across their Global Hubs & Clients on Mindset, EI, Productivity, Innovation & High Performing Team Methodologies.

Lean In Ireland was born in 2016 after Breda co-founded the Irish Chapter (San Francisco based LeanIn.org Foundation founded by Sheryl Sandberg) to empower & support professional women across the Business and Community landscape. While at a dinner party in Sheryl Sandbergs house in Palo Alto, Breda’s career and life Evolution was born.

In 2020, Breda’s became an Accredited Emotional Intelligence Coach with @RocheMartin. Her wisdom on Emotional Intelligence coupled with her vast knowledge on Growth Mindsets and the Reprogramming of the Subconscious Mind is what results in her Mind Blowing Transformational talks.

Within her own Company, AIMING4AWESOME Ltd, Breda delivers Motivational Keynote Talks, runs Innovation hackathons, Mindset Bootcamps, Bespoke Leadership masterclasses and workshops across all global territories and all sectors and Industries.

As Global Growth Ambassador and Board Member for the Business International Trading Association, this lady inspires collaboration and brand awareness between different cultures, geographical territories and all across industry.

Breda became an award winning global author in 2026, winning an award in New York for her part in the Lioness Series, an anthology series on resilience.  She also launched her own signature book on the BillBoards in Times Square, New York, OPERATION GROWTH, which has subsequently become an Amazon Best Seller.  OPERATION GROWTH is a book on transformational leadership and personal growth that has already been the catalyst for many’s a readers life and leadership upgrade.
