With over two decades of experience, she has worked on two of the country’s most prominent radio stations — 947 and Talk Radio 702 — where she continues to thrive in her 14th year on Breakfast Radio.

Cindy’s career spans across multiple media platforms. Alongside her radio work, she enjoyed a five-year tenure as a television presenter on SuperSport, Africa’s leading sports broadcaster, further solidifying her reputation as a trusted and versatile sports journalist.

Over the years, Cindy has received numerous accolades for her work. She was named Sports Presenter of the Year at the MTN Radio Awards in 2011, won the G-Sport Award for Women in Media (Radio) in 2015, and was recognised in 2012 by South Africa’s Minister of Sport for her contribution as a woman in sports broadcasting. Her role as an MC has taken her to numerous prestigious functions, including collaborations with Investec in their sponsorship and promotional work with the All Blacks. As a reporter and former sports editor, Cindy has covered major global sporting events for EWN, including:

In 2020, during South Africa’s COVID-19 lockdown, Cindy launched Locked-And-Down, a podcast series focused on mental wellness and the emotional toll of the pandemic. The 20+ episode series was well received and led to a 2022 follow-up project, continuing the conversation around mental health and post-pandemic recovery.

Her interest in mental health has evolved into a professional path. Cindy now volunteers as a lay counsellor for LifeLine Johannesburg and is currently studying to become a certified life coach.

In 2025, Cindy launched a new podcast series, The Teen Junction, merging her broadcasting expertise with her dedication to mental health advocacy. Aimed at parents and caregivers, the show provides guidance on navigating the challenges of parenting teenagers in today’s complex world. The podcast is available on Spotify.
