Dr. Anuradha (Anu) Rao is an international speaker, trainer, and consultant, on a mission to keep individuals, families, and organisations secure, safe, and well in an increasingly digital and complex world. Through her work as founder of CyberCognizanz, a cyber awareness firm based in Singapore, she empowers her audiences to incorporate cyber awareness into their daily lives. With AI bringing rewards as well as real risks, her work highlights the need to assess and manage potential online dangers before harnessing new technologies - whether at the workplace or at home.
Furthermore, Dr. Rao is Associate Faculty in the Public Safety and Security Programme at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where she lectures and supervises student research on cybercrime, cybersecurity, and related topics. She is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
As a Global DEI Advisory Council member for ISC2, the world’s leading member association for cybersecurity professionals, she advocates for inclusive and resilient cyber teams, focusing on women and wellbeing in cyber. Dr. Rao has a PhD in Communications and New Media from NUS, is a cyber parent, and based in Singapore since 2008.
