Jean Botti is an internationally recognised technology and innovation leader, engineer and entrepreneur with more than four decades of experience across the automotive, aerospace and energy sectors.
He served as Chief Technical Officer of Airbus Group from 2006 to 2016, where he drove major innovation initiatives, including the pioneering E-Fan all-electric aircraft, which earned international recognition. He later served as Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at Philips before becoming CEO and CTO and Co-Founder of VoltAero.
Botti began his career at Renault and held senior engineering and technology leadership roles at General Motors and Delphi in both Europe and the United States. He holds 37 patents and four defensive publications and has been inducted into the Delphi Hall of Fame and named a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
An accomplished academic, Botti holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, and advanced qualifications in R&D management from leading institutions in France and the United States. He is also a member and advisor to several prestigious European science, technology and aerospace organisations.
