Mumtaz was brought up in Portugal and attended a British International School where she was exposed to numerous cultures and languages from a young age.  Having moved to South Africa in 1995, she married, had 3 children and continued with her education thereafter.

Mumtaz was a teacher for more than 10 years teaching FET phase. In 2014, Mumtaz lost her husband.This pivotal and tragic loss saw Mumtaz work various jobs throughout the 10 years doing what she could to put her 3 children through school and university.

During Covid, Mumtaz saw a gap in the market and started an online store supplying chargers and various other items throughout SA. She sell taught everything that was needed to onboard on various online platforms. Later this business was self running and Mumtaz decided to pursue her passion in 2022.  This was to be in front of a camera and a crowd.

Mumtaz launched her talk Show Business Trends with Mumtaz Essa in 2022 and this was a very big hit.

Mumtaz then went on and put her fingers in Real Estate and now has offices in Dubai.

Her passion remains to empower people who want to start businesses and even doing workshops for people wanting firsthand knowledge on Online Stores.

Mumtaz is a prominent figure and is called by various organisations to present and give talks as well as being an MC on various conferences and events.

Mumtaz is at her prime and best when in front of a crowd and camera.

Mumtaz is quadrilingual, speaking English, Portuguese, Memon and Urdu fluently.
