Rabia Siddique is an internationally acclaimed keynote speaker, human rights lawyer, former war crimes and terrorism prosecutor, British Army legal officer, hostage survivor and best-selling author. Her extraordinary career has been shaped on the front lines of conflict, justice, institutional failure and transformational change.

During her service in Iraq, Rabia was taken hostage by insurgents while working to secure the release of two British soldiers. She survived the ordeal, helped negotiate their release and was later awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service. However, when her contribution was concealed and her male colleague received public recognition, Rabia took the unprecedented step of challenging the British Government and military establishment. Her successful discrimination case became an international example of courage, equality and the power of one voice to hold institutions accountable.
