Thuli is an entrepreneur, finance expert and business strategist with over 25 years of professional experience spanning management consulting, corporate finance, investment banking and entrepreneurship. Prior to founding her company, she built her career at leading financial institutions including Absa Capital and Investec Bank.

She is the founder and director of Mint Fresh Advisory Services, an enterprise and supplier development advisory firm she established 16 years ago. Through this work, Thuli has supported thousands of entrepreneurs across South Africa — including those in rural areas and townships — helping them grow sustainable businesses. Empowering entrepreneurs and unlocking their potential remains a central source of purpose in her work.

Over the years, she has consulted for both public and private sector organisations including the National Empowerment Fund, Sasol SA, BankSeta, South32, Transnet and Standard Bank. She has also collaborated with Nedbank, 702 and Cape Talk for the past three years on the successful Business Ignite campaign and competition, where she served as the face of the campaign and a judge.

Thuli is widely recognised for her work in financial education and media. She is the finance expert on the Money Babies personal finance feature on the 5FM Business Breakfast show and previously hosted KayaBizz and My Money and Me on KayaFM — a weekly show focused on personal finance and investment. The show was nominated for a Liberty Radio Award for Best Business and Finance Show in both 2017 and 2018.

She currently serves on the board of the award-winning Benguela Global Fund Managers, an emerging asset manager, and also sits on the board of Vuyani Dance Theatre in support of her passion for the arts.

In October 2023, Thuli launched The Success Rate Podcast, where she shares inspiring stories of individuals’ journeys to success. The podcast features conversations with accomplished entrepreneurs, industry trailblazers and global voices, including internationally renowned gospel artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

Her work and leadership have earned national recognition. In 2018, Entrepreneur Magazine named her one of the Top 50 Businesswomen to Watch in South Africa, ranking her number 19. In 2019, Money Today SA recognised her as one of the Top 12 Businesswomen in South Africa.
